Every year hundreds of theses are produced by HAN students. Up till recently these were only available for use in the HAN in print.
This has all changed since the HAN joined HBO Knowledge Base (national database of theses written by students connected to HBO institutions). Students can offer their thesis, or other important material, in a digital format to the HAN study centres. They will make sure the thesis is placed in the HBO-Kennisbank, making them freely available worldwide.
The conditions and procedure are available in the course statute. A short summary:
- Course lecturers decide whether the thesis is considered suitable for adding to the HBO-Kennisbank.
- If they agree to store the thesis in this repository, the student hands in his or her thesis in a digital format used by the hogeschool (.doc, .pdf, etc.) via studiecentra@han.nl.
- The student also fills out the agreement form below, fully signed by student, employer or institution offering the internship, and hands it in with his or her study centre
