For the development of alternative powertrains, it is often useful to analyze the behaviour and the use of a vehicle in real-life situations. With accurate measurement and recording of the actual situation, foundations can be laid for important decisions with respect to the development of alternative powertrains.
VEHICLE BEHAVIOR
Sometimes vehicle behaviour can be analyzed by deploying a test driver and recording his experiences, but usually, that experience is too subjective. The effect of different tires on the steering behaviour of a vehicle is then a feeling of feeling, which can lead to different preferences from person to person. When objective, reproducible results are desired, vehicle and driver behaviour should not be of influence. Then standardized tests are used, relevant parameters and external factors are measured with sensors, the data is recorded with data logging equipment. The data can be fed into a theoretical model, after which the model can predict the behaviour in other theoretical situations.
VEHICLE EFFICIENCY
A manufacturer often gives fuel consumption figures based on tests in the laboratory. The actual energy use of the car during the deployment, however, varies considerably. Meanwhile, many parties have a good insight into the actual use of "normal" vehicles. If alternative fuels such as electric, hydrogen, LNG and hybrid cars are used, an objective image can also be given here by accurately measuring and recording during actual use on public roads. Via conversion models, an objective comparison with standard test cycles is then possible.
HAN-AR has gained a lot of experience over the years with monitoring vehicles and subsystems, with data logging and data processing. HAN-AR also has the expertise to analyze this data, to interpret it and to report it in a clear manner. HAN-AR is, therefore, an interesting independent partner for governments, the industry and for companies in the SME sector.
We work with the software such as Labview.
